"Your shift is ending. Permanently. But one line needs to stay open."

Last Call is a short, narrative-driven puzzle game built for the GameDev.tv Game Jam 2026.

THE THEME: CONNECTIONS

You play as the last manual telephone operator in a small town, working your final night shift before the exchange is completely replaced by automation. The theme of "Connections" is woven directly into the core of the game:

  • Mechanically: You physically route the telephone lines by clicking on the switchboard sockets to build connections.
  • Narratively: You follow a single, emotionally gripping story over ten distinct calls—a worried son trying desperately to reach his mother. You are the final human connection keeping them together before the machines take over.

Features & Controls

  • Gameplay: A cozy, story-focused puzzle experience (approx. 5–10 minutes).
  • Controls: 100% Point & Click. Simply click on the sockets to connect the lines and progress the narrative. No dragging required!
  • Platform: Fully playable in your browser (HTML5).

Credits & Tools

  • Developer: Bjorn Vanacker (Solo)
